Millenium Festival March 28 – April 6 2025

The highlights of the Millenium Festival

The 17th edition of the Millenium Festival opened on a particularly moving note with a standing ovation from the audience for Mauricio Albornoz Iniesta, who presented his film at the opening night — a powerful moment that set the tone for ten days filled with emotion and meaningful exchange.

Ken Loach, whose social commitment aligns with the values upheld by the Millenium Festival, wished to show his support by sending a special and exclusive message, which was shared during the opening ceremony.

The Millenium Festival had the honor of welcoming Carmen Chaplin, director and granddaughter of the cinema icon, for the screening of her fascinating documentary Chaplin | Spirit of the Tramp.

Among the musical highlights: the glass organ concert by Rogier Kappers, director and protagonist of Glass, My Unfulfilled Life, and the electro-cosmic performance by Kai Landre, protagonist of Cyborg Generation, right after the screening of the film.

We also fondly remember the evening around Sudan, Remember Us, which featured a tasting of Sudanese cuisine and discussions with director Hind Meddeb and Sudanese writer Abdelaziz Baraka Sakin, as well as the many masterclasses and conversations that followed the more than 60 screenings.

We would like to warmly thank those who made this edition possible: our partners, whose trust and energy brought this 17th edition to life.
