Synopsis

Ji Dan, one of the most important female filmmakers in China becomes involved in the lives of the children of a family trying to survive in their jury rigged shanty. What choices do these teens have? When she starts timing, she discovers a father gone crazy, an overwhelmed mother and that the only offer to fund the children studies is at the price of their virginity. But, lead by Xia, a girl with incredible will, the children fight to send at least one of them to university and change a fate that offers them only misery and degradation.
