If there’s an antidote to the fear of ageing, it’s called Geneviève. Inspired by her former gymnastics teacher whom she admired, Geneviève has devoted her career to instilling a love of sport in her pupils. Once she reached retirement age, she had only one watchword: to continue the virtuous circle of perpetual motion.

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai, Pascale Hecquet is the author of some fifteen short animated films that have toured cinemas and festivals. The director pays particular attention to films for young audiences, with a desire both to make people laugh and to take a whimsical approach to subjects that are important to children, such as helping each other, sharing, friendship and even gluttony… She has recently tried her hand at making animated documentaries, which allow viewers to immerse themselves in authentic pieces of life and to hear the voice of another person.
