Director's Biography
Ibrahim Nash’at (Director/Co-Producer/Cinematographer) is a multi-award-winning Egyptian documentary filmmaker who holds a master’s degree in documentary filmmaking from Met Film School. He has worked with several international channels and online platforms, including Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, Business Insider, Voice of America, and others. He co-edited Talal Derki’s latest film, Under the Sky of Damascus, which premiered at Panorama – Berlinale 2023 and won the Golden Alexander at the 25th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. Hollywoodgate is Ibrahim’s first feature film, premiering at the Venice Film Festival and Telluride Film Festival in 2023. The film has been showcased at over 40 film festivals and has received 11 awards.
