Synopsis
Swedish Sophie has lived a glamorous life in the European fashion world as a model and designer when, in her 50s, she decides to leave everything behind. She builds a hotel in the desert town of Djenné in Mali and starts anew. It is there that her cousin Elisabet finds her. Elisabet, who herself has been grappling with doubts about her life choices, is curious about what drives Sophie. In the conversations between the two women, a sense of camaraderie grows. Perhaps there are not such great differences between a film director from Småland and a hotel owner in Mali?
In the presence of the director and the film crew.
