In Blossom With Tears, the director, Huaqing Jin, translates the desires of the Chinese middle class, stuck between modernity and tradition; lives caught between social and cultural injunctions. The film claims to center around children practicing acrobatics to uncover the truth about the extreme competitiveness that ordinary people have to go through.
