WHO WE ARE – A Journey to the Heart of Humanity

November 22, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, CIVA

How should we respond to the issue of migration? Are we ready to truly open our borders and mostly our hearts?
Do the solutions offered by our current leaders—lengthy and impersonal bureaucratic processes, police violence, detention in closed centers, and deportation to the country of origin or the first European country of entry—align with our values?
Join us for this cine-club to raise awareness of the migration crisis through the film WHO WE ARE, engage in conversation with the director Coline Billen, and share your insights on this pressing issue.

SYNOPSIS

In a filmed performance blending dance, theater, and puppetry, a group of young asylum-seeking artists from sub-Saharan Africa and Palestine share their poignant stories. Through expressive, growing puppets and intense performances, they reveal their dreams, hardships, and hopes. With dance and their own words, they invite us to envision a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world where every voice has a place.
