Synopsis
Siisi is a very active woman full of energy who wants to make the world a better place. For that reason she goes to Uganda, where she plans to open a café with the help of donors and to offer local, disabled young people a job. The start of the project is admirable, but as time passes, Siisi, who is a true idealist, is confronted with the culture of local work, the economic reality and a lack of customers. Even though Uganda is one of the world’s biggest coffee bean exporters, only 0,6% of the population really drinks coffee.
Kullar Viimne does not only outline the clash of civilisations and the collapse of Siisi’s idealism, but he also sympathises with the problems of this young Estonian girl who is immersed in such a big world.
