Synopsis
Afrobeat is an irresistible and powerful combination of traditionnal yoruba percussions, funk, jazz and highlife. Its creator, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, considered his music as a mean of protest against corruption and the dicatorial tendencies of the Nigerian governement. As committed artist, his political activism caused him some trouble: he went to prison, was tortured, lost his house and his mother was killed. However, he never gave up his fight! Finding Fela shows the portrait of a man and celebrates a myth.
