More than 80 documentary films, among them 55 Belgian premieres, 4 competitions, and numerous events and guests were on the agenda of the 10th edition of the Millenium Festival, from 20 to 30 March 2018 in Brussels.
The International Competition is a selection of the best documentaries from across the globe. These films have been chosen for the original perspective they offer on the issues of our world. An international jury of prestigious filmmakers gave the Objectif d’Or to the documentary delivering its message with the greatest force and authenticity.
The "Belgian Cinema" program offers you a panorama of the best contemporary Belgian documentaries of the year: sensitive, audacious and diverse. In this program, the newest and most outstanding films have been selected to join the Belgian Cinema Competition.
Labour is a major part of our daily lives and is constantly evolving. Globalized economy and robotization of production are changing our relationship to work around the world. This program provokes a reflection on the world of work and business. The most outstanding film addressing this theme in the most original and sensitive way are presented in the "World's Workers" Competition.
Because the Festival considers the participation of young people as vital, the "Young Vision" Competition has become an essential part of the event. This competition allows young people to discover films they don’t usually see and to develop their critical vision towards the important challenges of our time.
