Belgian events at the Millenium Festival

We all have an electronic device such as a smartphone, a computer, a food processor ... But what do we know about their construction and the people who make them ?
Will work still be the same in the future? Will the machines replace us?
Tuesday 20th of March at 8PM at BOZAR, join in the atmosphere of the Opening Ceremony of the Festival!
A Master class and two screenings pay homage to the great Czech filmmaker on 21 and 22 March.

Special Event - Young Belgian Talent


To celebrate 50 years of support to Belgian cinema (, the Millenium Festival and the Federation Wallonia-Brussels are coming together to focus on short films of young Belgian talents 26 March at 19.00, in the new Palace cinema!



For 50 years, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation has been discovering the talents of tomorrow by supporting Belgian filmmaking. From June 2017 to June 2108, it invites the public to (re) discover a selection of 50 films that have marked the history of Belgian cinema through event screenings, TV shows, video on demand, and also in festivals ...
The Millenium Festival is happy to celebrate the 50th anniversary of support for Belgian cinema. This special evening will showcase short films made by the new talents of Belgian documentary cinema. The Millenium Festival is faithfully committed to supporting young artists and wishes to offer young Belgian filmmakers opportunities to carry out their projects.

Belgian Competition: 12 films and 3 prizes


Twelve films among the most audacious and sensitive of current Belgian documentary production will be part of the Belgian Cinema Competition.



The best film will be awarded the Belgian Critics' Prize, the SCAM will give a Prize for Best Screenplay and the Festival will reward the Best Young Talent.
